OVER 200 people came together at the Recital Studio at Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay to enjoy the performance Love For All Seasons last Thursday.

The event was intended to create greater awareness and understanding, and to reduce the stigma of dementia.

The audience, which included persons with dementia and their caregivers, were treated to an evening of Mandarin, Cantonese and English evergreen tunes to raise funds for the Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA).

The donations amounted to S$32,000, and will go towards ADA's mission of making Singapore a more dementia-inclusive society.

Music veterans Angela Saik, Robert Wesley Seng and Donnie Chan set the clock back a couple of decades and had the audience singing along to classic hits such as Teresa Teng's The Moon Represents My Heart and Don Mclean's Vincent.

Ms Saik, also a banker, was a co-organiser of the concert. She and her fellow musicians had the audience dancing to the music, raising the evening's mood that encouraged spontaneous donations from the audience.
