Saying it like it is
Being honest with ourselves and the people around us can be liberating, even if it is the path less taken
A: "Isn't my baby cute?"
B: "No."
A: "But... why?"
B: "I'veseen cuter."
A: (Sulks) "Oh ok, but I think he is cute."
B: "Of course. He'syour son."
One mightbe forgiven for thinking that this was an inner monologue of someone who wished he/she had the courage to verbalise those thoughts, or a scene out of a sitcom. No one would ever have the guts to say something like that in reality... right?
Well, the above conversation did take place between my friend, B, and her colleague.
