Designer Priscilla Shunmugam expands from dresses to homeware.
PRISCILLA SHUNMUGAM DID something almost unthinkable for a homegrown fashion designer nearly 10 years ago - she took the aesthetics of traditional Southeast Asian dress and elevated them into globally appealing pret-a-porter. Among her creations were cheongsams with unexpected peplum details; cropped tops with kimono sleeves; and batik jumpsuits.
Earlier this year, she introduced a working woman's wardrobe: and now, she's turned her attention from the female figure to dining tables.
