Going beyond the role of collector

TOM Tandio isn't just an art collector - he is also passionately involved in promoting the art of his country, Indonesia. For one thing, he helped raise 50 per cent of the budget for this year's Jogja Biennale and sits on the board.
He also founded IndoArtNow, a three-year-old non-profit organisation actively run by Natasha Sidharta that presents an online archive of all Indonesian contemporary exhibitions worldwide.
