HK's Pang tries and nails crossover comedy
PANG Ho-cheung is one of Hong Kong's sharper filmmakers with his comedies, which often double as social commentaries on the fast (and often shallow) lives of urbanites.
He is also one of the few remaining established directors not to be lured up north to make co-productions pandering more to mainland China than his own domestic audience, so it is surprising to find him caving in with his latest film, Women Who Flirt.
Shot on location in Shanghai and starring Zhou Xun and Huang Xiao-ming - household names in China - it is a crowd-pleasing, commercial star vehicle aimed squarely at you-know-who.
