All-weather protection
EVER driven with the top down only to head unavoidably into a sudden shower and get not only yourself but your phone wet?
You can dry yourself off later but your phone may not be waterproof. If that is the case, HL Assurance has an insurance policy which will cover liquid or accidental damage to your mobile phone.
Called MobileCare, the plan will take care of your phone repair cost or provide a replacement, allowing savings of up to S$1,000 on the cost of buying a new phone. Other examples of damage include dropping the phone and cracking the screen, or dropping it down the toilet.
If the phone cannot be repaired, it will be replaced by HL Assurance, which is part of the Hong Leong Group.
The insurer also offers a "door-to-door express service" for maximum convenience.
MobileCare plans start from S$7.70 per month for a minimum of 12 months coverage.
"The 'right-at-your-doorstep' repair service was specifically designed for a highly effective economy like Singapore where time and convenience is priority," explains CEO Kelvin Lim. "Upon activation, our repair network will be at your home or office or any convenient location to present the replacement phone, change your cracked screen or damaged buttons."
