New format set for 5th edition

THE fifth edition of The Business Times Corporate Golf League was launched with a bang this week at LiveWire (Singapore Pools' "live" sports entertainment venue). With some familiar faces on board - both participating teams and sponsors - it promises to be once again a wonderful three months of golf and networking. Presented by Audi Singapore, 20 teams have signed up, with several more expected to join. Some returning teams this year include 2013 and 2012 champions SunMoon Foods in addition to Centurion, Cerebos, Citibank Singapore, DBS Vickers, KPMG, OCBC (Bank of Singapore), Singapore Pools, SPH and Tat Hong.

Patrick Daniel, editor-in-chief of SPH's English and Malay newspapers division, said: "We're happy to organise this event each year as it's one of the most enjoyable in the group's calendar. It's a great mix of competitiveness, networking and fun. This year, we hope to add even more zip into the mix."

Sponsors have also come to the fore with Audi Singapore returning as presenting sponsor for the fourth straight year as they have enjoyed partnering The Business Times for the event. The League has also given Audi Singapore the opportunity to grow its network within the local business community, according to Jeff Mannering, managing director, Audi Singapore. "We get great exposure for our products and the event gives us an additional opportunity to involve our own customers at some of the best golf courses in the world", he says.
