    One of Sweden's most acclaimed filmmakers, the late Ingmar Bergman (1918-2007) would have turned 100 years old this year.A Bergman Centenary celebration has been taking place around the world and a retrospective of some of his best loved films were screened last month at the Swedish Film Festival.

    Due to popular demand, The Projector is bringing back some of the titles including his most moving work, Wild Strawberries, psychological drama Persona (pictured), and historical period piece Fanny & Alexander.

    Bergman made films for the cinema for about four decades from the mid-forties before switching mainly to television in the eighties.In addition to producing about 60 films, he was also behind more than 170 stage productions, and wrote books.
