THERE used to be two JJ Lins: The JJ fluently expressing himself in English, at home - in all senses of the word - in Singapore; and the JJ speaking Mandarin, trying to break into the overseas market more than a decade ago.
"I used to see myself as two different people," says the Singaporean singer, 33. "Even when writing my songs."
Over the years, however, the Mando-pop star has reconciled his two selves. "These different roles have become one," says the singer, who was crowned Best Mandarin Male Singer at the Golden Melody Awards in Taipei earlier this year. "I'm able to think better in both languages at the same time.
