NTUC conference backs wage model, PME push

Delegates reaffirm that the moves are in workers' long-term interest

[SINGAPORE] After three days of brainstorming, the labour movement agreed that the progressive wage model (PWM) that they launched last year was its best hope to keep wages growing, said labour chief Lim Swee Say.

And the best hope for growing its ranks - another key issue - is to get more professionals, managers and executives (PMEs) into the labour movement's fold.
