I REFER to Lee Kian Leong's letter, "SGX should be more proactive in its response to feedback" (BT, Dec 16). We thank Mr Lee for his feedback.

On the Company Announcements page of our website under the search field, we provide clear definitions of "Company Name" and "Security Name", so as to remove possible confusion that may arise from the usage of both terms. Company Name refers to the entity that issues or manages the security, while Security Name refers to the traded counter on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).

In the example given by Mr Lee, to search for announcements on First Reit, the user should do a search by typing First Reit under Security Name. We made these changes to the website in March after receiving feedback from investors that this made searching for company announcements easier.
