Scrabbling for a place at the AIIB table

Strong political bargaining is going on behind the scenes over the shape and ownership of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

A total of 21 countries have signed an MOU expressing interest in joining the AIIB. China has given others until the end of March 2015 to decide whether or not they wish to join.


THE China-led Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) has dropped out of the news after a flurry of activity in October when a score of mainly Asian countries signed an agreement in Beijing expressing interest in joining the bank. But strong political bargaining is going on...
