Trumponomics is failing on growth

He often takes credit for the US' economic performance, but growth has been underwhelming, and the impact of his tax cuts are trivial relative to the size of the economy.

The North American Free Trade Agreement (Nafta) among the US, Canada and Mexico remains intact, but Mr Trump has not ditched the idea of ripping it up. If he does so, it will not be helpful to the US economy. Ironically, it could also do great damage to the Mexican economy - likely resulting in increased undocumented migration to the US, which he is trying to stave off.
