Will the October Surprise change the ending?

TRYING to get a few laughs at the intersection of Election 2016 and this year's Halloween celebrations, comedian Bill Maher reminded us what we expect at the end of our favourite horror films.

First, we are led to believe that the movie's protagonist destroyed the monster. Hey, he killed and even nuked the son of King Kong and Mrs Godzilla. That's it! Let's start getting up from our seats and get ready to throw the 3-D glasses into the trash can.
