HDB resale prices down 0.4%, transactions up 3.9% in September: SRX
HDB resale prices slipped 0.4 per cent in September 2015 compared to August, led by prices of five-room flats which fell 1.1 per cent. Those of three-room and four-room flats fell 0.1 per cent and 0.6 per cent respectively, while prices of executive flats rose one per cent.
This was according to data released by SRX Property on Thursday.
Year-on-year, prices have dropped 2.8 per cent from September 2014, and 11.6 per cent from the peak in April 2013.
The drop in prices were more marked in mature estates (down 0.6 per cent), versus a 0.2-per-cent drop in non-mature estates.
Transactions-wise, resale volume rose by 3.9 per cent. About 1,504 HDB resale flats were sold in September 2015, up from 1,447 transacted units in August.
Resale volume increased by 2.4 per cent year-on-year compared with 1,469 units resold in September 2014, but was down 58.8 per cent compared to its peak of 3,649 units in May 2010.
