One complication is that some of these events are still unfolding, not least a high-level corruption probe involving a minister – the first such investigation in four decades.
Last July, Transport Minister S Iswaran and billionaire hotelier Ong Beng Seng were revealed to have been arrested and released on bail, as part of investigations by the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau (CPIB).
