While a silver industry may not have developed here yet, there are pockets of service providers who are beginning to package their offerings to this group. The travel industry is one such example.

Seniors generally prefer a leisurely pace of sightseeing, and cruise tours are popular among them as they are less strenuous with no switching of hotels, said Chan Brothers Travel's manager for marketing communications Jeremiah Wong. He added that tour consultants ensure tours and the amount of walking involved are suitable for seniors.
