Singapore startups urged to think global

Baidu co-founder Ming Lei also says they should focus on becoming the market leader

SINGAPORE startups were on Friday urged to "think, team and grow global" in order to succeed because the market here is just too small. The advice came from Ming Lei, a co-founder of Chinese Internet giant Baidu, which, with more than 200 million users, is part of what is known as BAT, the "holy trinity" of Chinese Internet giants Baidu, Alibaba and Tencent.
