China: Stocks down at noon on year's last day

[SHANGHAI] Chinese stocks fell by the break on Thursday, the last trading day of the year, ahead of the release of December manufacturing data.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index slipped 0.61 per cent, or 21.96 points, to 3,550.92, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, fell 1.29 per cent, or 30.41 points, to 2,320.94.
