Europe: Stock markets sit tight at open

[LONDON] The London and Frankfurt stock markets edged higher at the start of trading on Friday, while Paris steadied.
London's benchmark FTSE 100 index gained 0.1 per cent to 7,493.81 points compared with Thursday's close.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index climbed 0.2 per cent to 13,206.35 points and the Paris CAC 40 was virtually flat at 5,405.55.
