Europe: Stocks ahead at open

[LONDON] Europe's major stock markets gained around 0.1 per cent in opening trade on Friday, with London's FTSE 100 index climbing to 7,583.53 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 edged upwards to 13,219.03 points and the Paris CAC 40 advanced to stand at 5,980.47 compared to Thursday's closing level.
