Europe: Stocks rebound at open
[LONDON] Europe's main stock markets rebounded at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index rising 0.4 per cent to 6,855.94 points.
In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 won 0.5 per cent to 10,542.95 points and the Paris CAC 40 gained 0.4 per cent to open at 4,406.34, compared with the close on Monday.
Eurozone stocks had drifted lower Monday, as traders await a key meeting of central bankers at the end of the week, while heavy falls for mining shares had weighed on the London market.
Tokyo's main stocks index meanwhile snapped a two-day rally Tuesday, with energy firms hit by a drop in oil prices and low-volume trading, traders said.
