Hong Kong, Shanghai stocks close higher
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong and Shanghai stocks ended higher Tuesday, shrugging off a negative lead from Wall Street ahead of a closely watched Federal Reserve policy meeting later in the week.
The Hang Seng Index in Hong Kong reversed early losses to end up 0.48 per cent, or 102.83 points, at 21,407.27.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 0.61 per cent, or 18.03 points, to 2,964.70. The Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, gained 1.19 per cent, or 22.09 points, to 1,881.99.
