Hong Kong, Shanghai: Stocks open flat

[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks and Shanghai stocks opened flat on Wednesday despite gains on Wall Street and in Europe.
The Hang Seng Index was up just 0.08 per cent, or 19.06 points, at 22,484.67.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index edged down 0.07 per cent, or 2.21 points, to 3,023.47, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, slipped 0.03 per cent, or 0.55 points, to 1,982.11.
