[Hong Kong] Hong Kong stocks opened flat on Tuesday morning as investors fret over a number of issues including the China-US trade row, the brewing emerging market crisis and a sell-off in the technology sector.

The Hang Seng Index inched down 1.49 points to 26,611.93.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index was also marginally lower, dipping 0.99 points to 2,668.49, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, edged down 0.07 per cent, or 0.92 points, to 1,406.00.
