Hong Kong: Stocks down at open
[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks fell in the first few minutes of trade on Wednesday, tracking losses on Wall Street as investors were spooked by a weak start to the US earnings season.
The Hang Seng Index slipped 0.69 per cent, or 163.41 points, to 23,386.11.
And the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dropped 0.26 per cent, or 7.93 points, to 3,057.32, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.28 per cent, or 5.78 points, to 2,037.91.
