[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks slipped soon after the open on Friday as investors fret over the prospect of a global trade war.

The Hang Seng Index fell 0.43 per cent, or 136.39 points, to 31,404.71.

The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index inched down 0.90 points to 3,290.21, while the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, was also barely moved, edging up 0.13 points to 1,874.54.
