[HONG KONG] Hong Kong stocks edged up at Thursday's open, extending a recovery from hefty losses earlier in the week but traders are keeping an eye on developments on the Korean peninsular after Pyongyang's missile test.

The Hang Seng Index added 0.21 per cent, or 52.60 points, to 25,574.57.

But the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.10 per cent, or 3.27 points, to 3,203.86 and the Shenzhen Composite Index, which tracks stocks on China's second exchange, eased 0.06 per cent, or 1.16 points, to 1,911.98.
