Malaysia: Shares close lower on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed lower on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 1.09 points to 1,589.69.

Volume was 12.579 billion lots worth RM4.603 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 650 to 531.
