Malaysia: Shares open lower on Monday

MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Monday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 8.99 points, or 0.55 per cent, to 1,618.02 as at 9.07am.
Volume was 1.09 billion lots worth about RM447.52 million. Losers beat gainers 435 to 248.
