Singapore shares open 0.19% higher on Friday
SINGAPORE stocks rose early Friday on a blue chip-led rally, with the Straits Times Index gaining 0.19 per cent, or 5.23 points, to 2,818.71.
Losers just beat out gainers 73 to 70 after 52 million shares worth S$78.8 million changed hands.
Singtel was a key mover, increasing by 0.3 per cent or one cent, to trade at S$3.68 on 2.3 million traded shares.
Mapletree Greater China Commercial Trust slipped 0.5 per cent, or half cent, to 96.5 Singapore cents on 6.5 million traded shares, the most active counter by volume in the morning.
