Singapore: STI opens 9.88 points higher on Tuesday
SINGAPORE share prices opened stronger on Tuesday, with the Straits Times Index (STI) up 9.88 points at 3,325.01 as at 9.01am, following a rally in global stocks on increased optimism for a deal that could avert a Greek default.
The most active shares in early morning trade included SingTel, whose counter opened one Singapore cent lower at S$4.29; Global Logistic, which opened one Singapore cent higher at S$2.54; and Midas, whose shares traded unchanged at S$0.355 as at 9.02am.
A total of 47.7 million shares worth S$91.8 million had changed hands as at 9.01am. Gainers outnumbered losers 94 to 45.
