Singapore stocks: STI resumes Monday afternoon at 3,194.38, down 0.48% on day
SINGAPORE stocks fell on Monday afternoon's trading resumption, with the Straits Times Index declining 15.41 points or 0.48 per cent on the day to 3,194.38 as at 1.01pm.
Losers outnumbered gainers 222 to 84, or about eight securities down for every three up, as about 875.5 million securities worth S$432.4 million changed hands.
The most actively traded counter was Advanced Systems Automation, which traded flat at S$0.001 with about 38.3 million shares changing hands.
Other actives included Nam Cheong with 23.9 million shares traded, unchanged at $0.011, and Thomson Medical Group with 21.9 million shares traded, rising 1.1 per cent or $0.001 to S$0.088.
Active index stocks by value included DBS Group Holdings, down 0.2 per cent or S$0.06 to S$25.71; and United Overseas Bank, down 1.9 per cent or S$0.52 to S$26.18.
