Singapore stocks: STI resumes Tuesday afternoon at 3,114.92, down 0.19% on day

SINGAPORE stocks continued to decline as trading resumed on Tuesday afternoon, with the Straits Times Index retreating 0.19 per cent or six points to 3,114.92 as at 1pm.

Losers outnumbered gainers 177 to 107, or about five securities down for every three up, after 868.3 million securities worth S$367.9 million changed hands.

Among the most heavily traded by volume, Rex International Holding rose 1.2 per cent or S$0.001 to S$0.086 with 47.7 million shares traded. Thai Beverage Public Co declined 1.6 per cent or S$0.01 to S$0.62 with 20.7 million shares traded.

Active index stocks included DBS Group Holdings, down 0.1 per cent or S$0.03 to S$24.30; and OCBC Bank, up 0.1 per cent or S$0.01 to S$11.01.
