Stocks to watch: China Environment, Xpress, Tritech

THE following stocks had announcements that could affect trading activity on Tuesday.

China Environment: The company announced the allotment and issuance of new ordinary shares and warrants to GlobalWin International Consultants, following an approval in principle from the Singapore Exchange.

Xpress Holdings: The company has requested for a trading halt, pending an announcement on the signing of a placement agreement. The printing firm has been contesting over S$2.4 million in alleged unpaid debt since July last year. In November 2014, Xpress announced the adjournment of the winding up application initiated by UOB to Jan 28 this year. On Monday, its counter surged 12.5 per cent.

Tritech Group: The company's shares surged 14.7 per cent, closing at S$0.172 on Monday. In a response to the SGX's query on unusual trading activity, the company said it was unaware of any possible explanation for the recent surge in its counter.
