Tokyo: Stocks close down 0.59%

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed 0.59 per cent lower on Wednesday, hit by a stronger yen and following a drop on Wall Street.
The Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange eased 111.56 points to 18,703.60, while the Topix index of all first-section issues dropped 0.64 per cent, or 9.82 points, to 1,517.01.
