Tokyo: Stocks close lower for third straight session

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks fell for a third consecutive session on Thursday, as investor sentiment remained slack on worries over the global economy.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.65 per cent, or 140.80 points, to close at 21,456.01 while the broader Topix index was down 0.84 per cent, or 13.59 points, at 1,601.66.
