Tokyo: Stocks close lower on investor caution over US dip

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks closed lower on Wednesday, with investors cautious after a drop on Wall Street.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index slipped 0.35 per cent or 83.47 points to 23,868.34, while the broader Topix index was down 0.18 per cent or 3.43 points at 1,890.82.
