Tokyo: Stocks close slightly higher after see-saw session

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks eked out small gains at the close on Friday after a see-saw session swayed by profit taking and buying on confidence in corporate earnings.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.20 per cent, or 45.68 points, to 22,396.80, while the broader Topix index was up 0.12 per cent, or 2.05 points, at 1,763.76.
