Tokyo: Stocks open 0.41% up as weaker yen lifts sentiment


[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened 0.41 per cent higher on Friday, continuing their rise from the previous day on a weaker yen despite a negative lead from Wall Street.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index at the Tokyo Stock Exchange gained 77.93 points to 19,194.34 in opening deals.
