Tokyo: Stocks open flat

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened flat on Friday after Wall Street declined ahead of a postponed vote on US President Donald Trump's replacement healthcare plan.

The benchmark Nikkei 225 index lost 0.13 per cent, or 24.67 points, to 19,060.64 in early trade, while the Topix index of all first-section issues was down 0.03 per cent, or 0.49 points, at 1,529.92.
