Tokyo: Stocks open higher on Monday

[TOKYO] Tokyo stocks opened higher on Monday supported by a cheaper yen as worries over a trade war between the US and China eased.
The benchmark Nikkei 225 index gained 0.12 per cent, or 28.37 points, to 22,958.73 in early trade, while the broader Topix index was up 0.01 per cent or 0.23 points, at 1,815.48.
