US: Oil gains push stocks higher

[NEW YORK] US stocks opened higher on Tuesday helped by another rise in oil prices and solid auto sales reports for February.
Five minutes into trade, the Dow Jones Industrial Average was at 16,599.57, up 83.07 points.
The broad-based S&P 500 added 12.82 at 1,945.05, while the tech-rich Nasdaq Composite climbed 34.68 to 4,592.63.
