Amazon woos Washington as critics slam its growing power

Tech giant spent over US$11.3m last year on lobbying, making it one of the biggest corporate players

Amazon, in a bid to deal with critics, is blitzing Capitol Hill with a branding campaign of jobs creation and support for small businesses, promoting its media, groceries and transportation forays.
