SINGAPORE'S push to become a "smart nation" will result in the use of a number of new communication technologies that will usher in an era of ubiquitous connectivity. One of these is called HetNet or heterogenous networks. HetNet will form an important backbone of the proposed Smart Nation Platform (SNP) that will help connect all government agencies so that they can share data with one another.
