Singapore
SOME 500 startups and 35 incubators at the JTC LaunchPad@one-north - widely considered as Singapore's startup hub and comprised of blocks 71, 73 and 79 in Ayer Rajah Crescent - on Tuesday presented their innovations to the public at LaunchPad Unveiled, an inaugural showcase of the LaunchPad community since its official opening in January.
Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources, and Minister-in-charge of Smart Nation, said at the event: "We are not Silicon Valley, a unique model that can't be replicated anywhere in the world. But even if we're not . . . there are some things which we can do better in Singapore."
