[BANGKOK] Thailand's junta met the head of the central bank, the stock exchange and other economic officials to discuss measures to safeguard growth in South-east Asia's second-biggest economy, three days after staging a military coup.

Officials including Bank of Thailand governor Prasarn Trairatvorakul attended the meeting called by the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) at an army compound in Bangkok.
