68% jump in new cars registered in H1

Toyota remains top brand and model among authorised distributors; Vezel boosts Honda's numbers

The Toyota brand continues to lead as Singapore's most popular brand of car. It racked up 9,321 registrations, a figure that includes the Lexus (above) from the car maker's luxury division, as well as parallel imports not sold by authorised Toyota distributor Borneo Motors Singapore.


OVER two-thirds more new cars were put on the road in the first half of this year than in the same period last year, thanks to steadily expanding certificate of entitlement (COE) quotas.
