TOUGH CONDITIONS: Divers preparing their gear on the SAR ship Purworejo in the Java Sea on Friday. Heavy seas and winds of over 40 knots are delaying progress as 3m-high waves prevent divers from going down.

SEARCH teams looking for the crashed AirAsia jetliner have found bodies still strapped in their seats and debris resembling parts of the tail, as they deployed sonar and pinger locators to seek the plane's data recorders.
