Indonesia locates crash site, plane’s black boxes

Divers, warships, vessels with sonar and airplanes deployed on Sunday in search for the B737-500 jet

National Transportation Safety Commission officers inspecting the debris of Sriwijaya Air flight SJ 182, at Tanjung Priok port in Jakarta, on Sunday. The plane had crashed into the sea on Saturday.


AN Indonesian search-and-rescue team located the crash site where a Boeing jet carrying 62 people operated by Sriwijaya Air went down just minutes after takeoff on Saturday, with the authorities saying that they expect to retrieve the aircraft's black boxes soon.
